Elestrals MBT Collector vs Beginner Bundle: Which to Buy?

Quick Answer

If you want a full booster box experience and premium extras, choose the MBT Collector Bundle. If you're starting out or want a budget-friendly entry point, the MBT Beginner Bundle gives you solid gameplay value at a lower price.

What's in Each Bundle?

The MBT Collector Bundle includes a Lifestream Booster Box (Divine Champions), a Thunder Deck Box, a Hera vs. Aeolus Double Starter Deck - Sunstrike (Divine Champions), two Gemini Solar Bundle - Zodiac (Shattered Stars), and an MBT Divine Promo. This is a complete package for players and collectors who want to open packs, organize cards, and play right away.

The MBT Beginner Bundle is more focused: it contains the same Hera vs. Aeolus Double Starter Deck, two Gemini Solar Bundle - Zodiac, and the MBT Divine Promo. It skips the booster box and deck box, making it a lighter, lower-cost way to get started with two ready-to-play decks and extra packs.

Value and Price Difference

The Collector Bundle is priced at USD 152.47 (catalog comparison price USD 249.95), offering significant savings over buying items separately. The Beginner Bundle costs USD 51.98 (catalog comparison price USD 79.97), also a good deal but with a smaller total value. The trade-off is clear: you pay more upfront for the Collector Bundle, but you get a booster box and deck box that add depth to your collection and gameplay experience.

For the same money, you could buy two Beginner Bundles and still have change, but you'd miss out on the booster box and the dedicated deck box. Consider how much you want to invest in sealed product versus starter content.

Who Should Buy Which?

The Collector Bundle is ideal if you plan to build a collection, trade, or host draft events. The booster box gives you 24 packs of Divine Champions, which is the core of the set. The deck box is a practical bonus for storing your constructed deck.

The Beginner Bundle is perfect for new players, casual duels, or as a gift. You get two complete decks and a few extra packs to customize them. It's also a great way to try the game without a large commitment.

Trade-Offs at a Glance

• Booster Box vs. No Booster Box: Collector Bundle has a full booster box (24 packs); Beginner Bundle has none. If you want to open many packs, choose Collector.
• Deck Box vs. No Deck Box: Collector Bundle includes a Thunder Deck Box; Beginner Bundle does not. Useful for storing your constructed deck.
• Price and Value: Collector Bundle costs USD 152.47 (saves ~39% vs. separate). Beginner Bundle costs USD 51.98 (saves ~35%). Both are good deals, but Collector gives more sealed product per dollar spent. If budget is tight, Beginner Bundle offers a lower entry cost with essential gameplay items.
