Compare Elestrals Voltempest Champion of Zeus and Lochagon Champion of Aphrodite card sleeves. Find out which matte deck protection suits your Thunder or Water Caster deck.
Quick answer
Choose Voltempest Champion of Zeus sleeves for a Thunder Caster deck with bold lightning art, or Lochagon Champion of Aphrodite sleeves for a Water Caster deck with serene ocean designs. Both offer the same matte finish and premium protection—your choice comes down to which Champion fits your playstyle.
Same premium protection, different artwork
Both the Voltempest and Lochagon card sleeves are premium standard-size matte sleeves designed to protect your deck during play. They share the same matte finish that reduces glare and makes the artwork pop, so the core protection experience is identical.
The main difference is the artwork. Voltempest features the Champion of Zeus and Zaptor with electric blue and gold tones, perfect for Thunder Casters. Lochagon showcases the Champion of Aphrodite and Leviaphin with cool aqua and silver hues, ideal for Water Casters.
Two designs per pack add variety
Each pack contains 100 sleeves split into two designs: 60 sleeves feature the main Champion and 40 sleeves feature a secondary creature. This gives your deck a cohesive but not completely uniform look, which some players enjoy for easy sideboard identification.
If you prefer a fully uniform sleeve set, the 60/40 split may be a limitation. Consider whether the two-design approach suits your tournament or casual play needs.
Voltempest vs Lochagon: Trade-offs to consider
- Artwork theme: Voltempest: electric lightning and gold tones for Thunder Casters. Lochagon: cool aqua and silver for Water Casters. Pick the one that matches your deck's element.
- Design split: Both packs have 60 Champion sleeves and 40 secondary creature sleeves. If you want all sleeves identical, this split may not suit you. If you like variety or use the 40 for sideboard, it works well. Check if your tournament rules allow non-uniform sleeves before using the two-design pack.
- Price and value: Both are priced similarly (Voltempest $11.99, Lochagon $12.19) and offer the same 100-sleeve count and matte finish. The decision is purely aesthetic and thematic. Price difference is minimal—choose based on artwork preference.
